-CHAPTER 1-
30 A.E
It has officially been 30 years since the declared end of the Answerer's War and the dawn of the new age, Anno Exauditio (A.E). The Answerer's War, a war with a cause lost in time, was a large-scale military campaign launched by several nations across the globe in the year 2378 A.D. The two main aggressors of this war were the two greatest world superpowers: the United States and Russia. As the conflict continued, the demand for stronger and better weapons grew. Eventually, the United States collaborated with Japan to create humanoid combat vehicles known as "Frames". These Frames were highly customizable, highly affordable, and highly dangerous. In order to combat these Frames, Russia and it's partners had developed machines of their own. Originally known as "KARAS" They were dubbed as Frames as time went on. Eventually, the two superpowers wore not only themselves out but the nations supporting them.
In fear of being crushed individually, nations with similar ideals banded together to form two alliances. The First World Alliance (FWA), and the United Socialist Coalition (USC). The First World Alliance consisted of the United States at its core with several European countries as well as Japan and South Korea at it's assistance. The United Socialist Coalition, however, was comprised of Russia, China, North Korea, and several Middle Eastern countries such as Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia. Culturally and politically, the world was once again split into it's "East and West" states, akin to the world prior to the Cold War.
Due to the excessive use of nuclear weapons, the Earth and it's land became heavily irradiated and otherwise inhabitable. In 2443 A.D, the alliances and their people had taken to the skies. The Lifeholds, colossal colonies that can hold millions of people, were launched into the sky. Among the clouds were the only place humans could safely breath. Only 40% of humanity had boarded these Lifeholds. The other 60% were left behind, including members of the alliances and their soldiers. This fills the hearts of many with hatred and resentment towards the alliances.
Reaching a stalemate in 2447 A.D, the alliances had decided to call off the war in talks of a peace treaty. However, just a year later in 1 A.E. conflict had risen once again. This time, it was for the reclamation of Earth. Both alliances believed it was their own destiny to reclaim the lands they had once torn apart. Soldiers began to deploy to Earth again, now equipped with gear to help fend off the threats of radiation poisoning. Several private military corporations around the world sparked all around. Generally looking for mercenary work, they're often hired by the two alliances to get their work done for them all the while reeking in the riches.
29 years later, the "Establishment War" began. The two alliances now fight with sheer resolve in order to crush the other and restore the Earth to it's once great stature.
